Swatches > Sally Hansen HD | Spectrum

Follow my blog with bloglovin

Need I say more...really?!?  Such a pretty pretty color, although its coming across a lot more green than it is in actuality.  My Mom absolutely loves this color, she had to compliment me on it at least 20 times in the past 24 hours that I've been wearing it, LOL!  I know she's definitely going to want to wear this color on her toes, even though she usually sticks with the wines, reds, fuschias, and pinks on her toes (she doesn't do color on her fingernails).

This is one color you out on and will really want to wear for days.  I can literally change my polish everyday, because I get bored super fast with shades.  I will especially do this is I buy a lot of polish and am on a swatching frenzy.  So, just a heads up, don't be mad if you don't see any swatches for the next few days, because I will be wearing Spectrum during that time.  I got it BOGO @ Walgreen's last week, not sure if its still on sale this week, but if it is definitely pick up a bottle of this awesome color.

Now for everybody's fave, pics....

Swatches > Sinful Colors | Gorgeous

I got this color pretty much on a whim at Walgreen's.  I went away for the weekend with my b/f and didn't change my polish ahead of time.  As I was packing I kept telling myself not to forget to pack a polish or two, but of course I still forgot to pack them.  I stopped in a local Walgreen's in his hometown and quickly caroused around until I found myself at the Sinful Colors section.  I first saw Aqua, which looks exactly like Gorgeous, but I think it has more of a hue of blue whereas Gorgeous has more of a hue of green.  I couldn't decide between the two, and so I pretty much just picked the bottle that looked like someone hadn't open it and tried it on. (I'm really funny about that type of thing)  I knew the formula would have that streaky-stoke look to it once applied, but nonetheless I think its a 'gorgeous' color.  I picked up a cheap bottle of Wet n' Wild clear to serve as a base and top coat, so I'll probably re-paint my nails with Gorgeous at some point and use Seche Vite or ChG Fast Forward.  I sure of it that I will get a smoother finish with those top coats than the Wet n' Wild.

Excuse the chippage on the pinky nail.  I didn't notice that until after I'd taken and imported the pics on my computer. Like I said, the Wet n' Wild Clear definitely isn't my choice of a Top Coat.  I did try to take pics of my right hand, but of course being right -handed and not ambidextrous I just couldn't get any good shots using my left hand to take pics with.

I do plan on getting Aqua so that I can compare the two shades to see what the actual difference is, so be on the lookout for swatches of that soon!

Swatches > Color Club | Take Me To Your Chateau & Si Vous Please!

So even though Take Me To Your Chateau is a pretty, milky, robbins egg color I had to jazz it up with Si Vous Please to add some sparkle.  I thought it was a cute look, but my boyfriend say differently.  On the way home from work, I was showing him how beat up my nails were when I just painted them last night and he said "I don't like that color, it looks weird."  LOL...he rarely comments about my makeup or nail polish, so when he does its usually really funny to me.

Although I liked Take Me To Your Chateau to wear it on my fingers, I'm not sure when I'll be wearing it again.  It might go into the "toenail stash".  Its a fun color, but it might be a little to milky looking for the likes of me.  Si Vous Please is just another jelly glitter polish to definitely be worn over a polish, doesn't do anything for me at all.  It has silver, green, and blue glitters in it, so it complimented Take Me To Your Chateau very well.

Swatches > LA Splash | Glitz & Berry

Glitz & Berry is very reminiscent of ChG's Ruby Pumps, yet without the glossiness.  When first applied I got really excited, because I thought it was a dupe for Ruby Pumps, but it wasn't :-(  Anyhow's it applied pretty good with two coats (below, both pics) and I used Orly Glosser as a Top Coat.

Swatches > Maybelline Express Finish | Goody Plum Drop

This is a really fun color, no complaints here about it!  I reminds me of Easter and springtime, so that made me really happy, especially with the weather being so crappy.  I decided I'd try out a Konad pattern on it, and I used China Glaze Millennium in a fishnet pattern.  To be honest, I like this color completely by itself, but the silver did look good over it.

All pics taken w/out flash.

Availability:

This shade is Limited Edition, so you should probably drop by your local Walgreen's if your interested in it.  I didn't see it at CVS or Wal-Mart and I haven't checked Rite Aid to see if they have it.

Price:  I purchased mines for about $2 w/ tax....they were 40% @ Walgreens on Sunday(2/28).

Size:  .5 fl oz.

Thx for visiting!

Swatches > OPI | Jade Is The New Black

Many of you have seen this color swatched out the ying-yang, so I'm not even gonna overly elaborate.  I love this color, its a creamy hunter green, that applies wonderfully with two coats.  This is one of three shades I got from the collection, and the first of my OPI collection.  Oddly enough I don't really have a lot of OPI, so I will definitely be picking up some more at some point.  I'm excited to see what their summer collections will include.

All pics were taken with no flash.  The first pic is in sunlight, all others were taken with inside lighting.

Availability:  Some drug stores, salon, and beauty supply stores.  Also @ 8ty8 Beauty and HeadToToe Beauty

Price: $8-$9

Size:  15 mL/0.5 fl oz.

Thx for visiting!
